Nature Locations
Picking the right location sets the tone for your whole session — it should feel like you!
I’ve gathered my favorite spots that always photograph beautifully. Take a look through the photos and details, and choose the one that feels like the perfect fit. Trust me, you can’t go wrong.

ANN ARBOR

Ann Arbor has a great spot with both outdoor and indoor options, perfect for early spring with plenty of greenery already in bloom.
The outdoor space (pictured above) is free to use, while the indoor space requires a $100 permit, which can be a great backup in case of rain. The pass doesn't need to be purchased in advance.
This location offers diverse scenery, though it requires quite a bit of walking.
Accessibility: Some areas, including indoors, are wheelchair accessible.
***I don't have outdoor portrait examples yet. The photos below are from inside the conservatory, which requires an additional permit. I'm introducing this outdoor location to my clients this year.
Lefurge

This is my favorite spot for my nature-loving clients. It is filled with a beautiful open space with a tall tree line in the distance. This helps to create those beautiful blurry background photos that everyone loves! It's filled with trails to explore, giving us lots of options for backdrops. It does have a small parking lot as well. No restrooms available.
Accessibility info: Not the best for wheelchairs, strollers, or anyone with mobility concerns

Zibiwes

CANTON
This spot is a local favorite for many photographers due to the variety of backdrops available. There is a small patch of land right at the entrance where the city plants different colored wildflowers each year. This location has ample parking (gravel lot). Keep in mind that there are no restrooms are available here. A porta potty is available near the parking lot at this location as well.

Waterford Bend

NORTHVILLE
This location is very convenient for families with small children. There is a ton of parking, and a full playground for after the session if they have a little extra energy to burn off. This is one of the best locations to see a variety of colors of foliage when it comes to the Fall season, with minimal walking required.
Accessibility info: Minimal walking required. Wheelchair accessible with assistance.

Beach

MONROE
Hidden gem alert! How lucky are we that we can get to a beach like this without needing to drive up north? I absolutely love this spot! Keep in mind that it can get a little windy since we're right on the water. There is a nice playground right next to the water for after your session if you have kids as well!
Accessibility info: Not wheelchair accessible. I don't recommend if you have any mobility limitations.
